Professional website for real estate agents
Real estate agents need more online than property listings. Property owners want to see trust, regional expertise and a clear process before they request a valuation or sales conversation. We build websites for real estate agents that present positioning, services and contact paths professionally - without building a custom property portal.
Why real estate agents need a strong own website
Property portals are important sales channels, but they often show agents interchangeably next to many other providers. Your own website is where you can explain what your office stands for: local market knowledge, personal guidance, clear marketing, discreet sales processes or specialization in certain property types. Property owners compare not only commission, but trust and competence.
A good real estate website therefore speaks not only to buyers but especially to owners. It answers questions such as: How does a sale work? How is the asking price assessed? Which documents are needed? How is the property presented? Which regions does the agent truly know? These contents create a reason to get in touch even before a specific property is listed.
Which content matters to owners and prospects
The homepage should immediately show the region and property types the agent works with. Clear services belong there: sale, rental, property valuation, market-price assessment, exposé preparation, viewing coordination and support until the notary appointment. The language should be understandable to owners, not only to industry insiders.
A dedicated property-valuation page is often especially valuable. It can explain which factors influence value: location, condition, modernization, energy values, floor plan, demand and comparable properties. The page should not pretend that a form can reliably replace a final valuation. A realistic process is better: initial assessment, property discussion, documents, viewing and then a solid recommendation.
Property listings can be embedded when existing real estate software or an external system provides the data. We do not build a custom property database with user accounts and search logic. For specialized domain systems (appointment booking, CRM, course/membership management, practice/workshop software) we embed existing certified third-party providers via widget or iFrame - the contract and data processing agreement run directly between you and the provider. This keeps the website maintainable and property management where it already happens operationally.
Trust, evidence and legal context
Real estate involves high values. Experience, region, process and availability should therefore be visible. Useful elements include a personal profile, genuine references or anonymized sales examples, clear service descriptions and a transparent process. Photos of the team or office usually work better than generic building images.
Legal orientation also matters. Real estate agent websites need mandatory business information, privacy notice and, depending on communication, withdrawal information. Property information can involve energy-certificate details under the German Building Energy Act and transparent commission notes. We create a clear structure and phrase general notes carefully; individual approval should come from your legal counsel.
Enquiries without sensitive file uploads
For seller enquiries, a lean contact path is usually enough at the beginning: property type, location, ownership status, preferred callback and short description. IDs, land-register extracts, financing documents or other sensitive files should not be uploaded through a simple website form. File uploads in the form are excluded for security reasons. After the initial contact, the exchange continues directly by email between you and the sender.
The website should make first contact easier, not replace the real estate CRM. After the enquiry, communication continues directly by email, phone or through your existing specialist system. This reduces technical complexity and keeps responsibility for sensitive property and client data where it belongs.
Frequently asked questions about real estate agent websites
Does a real estate agent need a website besides property portals?
Yes. Portals bring reach for individual properties, but your own website explains brand, region, process, valuation competence and contact path. It helps property owners understand why they should talk to you - not only which property is currently listed.
Do we build a custom real estate portal?
No. We do not build a custom portal with property database, search filters, user accounts or automated exposé downloads. Existing real estate or CRM software can be linked or embedded via widget. Your website remains the professional presence and entry point.
Can property valuations and seller enquiries be presented?
Yes, but with clear boundaries. A property-valuation page can explain which factors influence value and how an initial conversation works. An optional enquiry form can collect basic data; sensitive documents, IDs or financing data should not be uploaded through our website.
Which legal notes matter for real estate agent websites?
Typical areas include imprint, privacy notice, withdrawal information in consumer communication, mandatory business information and, depending on the property, energy-certificate information under the German Building Energy Act. We provide general orientation and clear page structure; individual legal review belongs with your legal counsel.
How does a property or seller enquiry work?
The Starter Package includes a clear contact method (email/phone). A contact form with automatic acknowledgement is an optional add-on: Server-side input validation, spam protection (honeypot, rate limit), delivery via secure SMTP connection through your business mailbox. The incoming message lands directly in your mailbox; the sender automatically receives an acknowledgement email from the same mailbox. No message content stored on our systems, no file uploads. The initial contact via the form is usually sufficient; the subsequent exchange continues directly by email between you and the sender. For real estate agents, useful fields include property type, location, ownership status, preferred contact path and a short description. File uploads are excluded for security reasons; documents are exchanged after first contact directly by email or in your specialist system.
What does a website for a real estate agent cost?
Starter from 599 EUR net one-off plus maintenance from 59 EUR net per month for a compact website with a homepage and up to four subpages. Optional extensions such as forms, additional content areas, blog, multilingual support, external widgets or small custom features are planned and quoted separately. We do not build a custom real estate portal, property database, user accounts, exposé automation or payment features; existing real estate software can be embedded or linked. The full scope is described on the Web Development services page; details are clarified in the 30-minute initial consultation.
